Inspect before converting

  1. Choose the complete dataset.For Shapefile, supply the related SHP, DBF and SHX files, preferably as a ZIP.
  2. Inspect the detected data.Check dataset, geometry, CRS, extent and preview before conversion.
  3. Set transformations only when needed.Override or target a CRS, repair invalid geometry, explode collections or simplify.
  4. Run and download.The full converter handles GIS files; the quick converter handles copyable text formats.

DATA AND PRIVACY

Understand where processing happens

TrueGIS is browser-first and does not require an account. Many drawing and conversion operations run in the browser. Features that request third-party mapping, address, routing or public-sector data necessarily contact those external services.

Do not assume every external API has the same availability, quota, licensing or privacy terms. The interface should identify the service involved where that matters.

Do I need to install anything?

No. TrueGIS is designed to run in a modern web browser.

Do I need an account?

No account is required for the current public tools.

Why are only GeoJSON, CSV and TSV exported from Maps?

Those are direct map-table exports. Use the Converter for wider GIS format support.

Which tool should I use for a planning red-line PDF?

Use Location Plan. Use Feasibility Constraints when you also need constraint screening.
